Andrew A. Serafini, Jr.

A.J. Serafini was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. He is the son of Andrew Serafini, Sr., former State Senator for Washington County. He attended Grace Academy, graduating from the school in 2005. He received his B.S. in Government from Liberty University, graduating in three years with honors as summa cum laude in 2008. He went on to earn his law degree from Liberty University School of Law where he graduated in the top 5 of his class in 2011.

While in law school, he served as a member of his school's moot court board, a mentor to first-year law students, and as program coordinator of the Street Law program (a nationwide program that teaches at-risk youth the value of following and respecting the law). He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, The National Trial Lawyer's Association, and the American Association for Justice.

A.J.'s practice has a wide variety of focuses with his primary areas of practice being personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse. A.J. has worked closely on a number of personal injury cases where he has secured a number of remarkable results for his clients in Western Maryland. A.J. regularly attends State and National continuing education courses offered through the American Association for Justice, the Maryland Association for Justice, and the Maryland State Bar Association to keep up to date on the constantly changing areas of laws in which he regularly practices in. A.J. is a member of the board of the Washington County Bar Association. He served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for several years under Governor Larry Hogan. In 2018, received the Herald-Mail Readers' Choice Award for Best Attorney and in 2019 and 2020, he received the Herald-Mail Media's "Best of the Tri-state" award. Honored for his outstanding professionalism and service, Mr. Serafini has earned a Top 40 Under 40 ranking from the National Trial Lawyers Association. He has also been listed in Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for four consecutive years and most recently named an Elite Lawyer.

A.J. is very involved in the local community. For three years (2014-2017) he coached soccer as an assistant varsity coach at Williamsport High School and also at Liverpool FC located in Hagerstown. A.J. and his wife Kassi attend Broadfording Church located in Hagerstown, Maryland. He represents a number of faith-based organizations located in Washington County. He formerly served on the board of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra as the chair of the endowment committee. He has also served on the board of Hospice of Washington County. A.J. is dedicated to serving the legal needs of his hometown.
